Chirstmas is Coming Soon!

On the way home at around seven last evening, I passed by Namesti Republiky, probably the heart of the city, where a five minute walk would land you on the baroque style Old Town Square and various nice small cafes.

Outside a church, workers were busy setting up a Christmas market which sells Christmas goods ranging from dried fruits and nuts to christmas decorations. Yes, Christmas is coming soon. Almost everywhere on the street you will notice some signs of christmas: decorations hanging on the street lamps, fully decorated and lighted christmas trees on small squares or outside of a church, etc.

This week's Prague Post has it that there will be at least five to six open-aired Christmas markets at various locations in town. On Sunday, there will also be a Christmas lighting ceremony by the mayor at six in the evening in the Old Town Square. My friends here are already talking about St. Nicholas Day which will fall on 6th December.

So much is happening in Prague for Christmas preparations. It leaves me wondering how other people from another part of the world are preparing for Christmas this year.

PS. I apologize for a lack of update. Life is very busy for me these days. But for sure, there are lots of tales to tell and reflections to share - only if I can find more free time for writing.
